Can I use a network DVR in an area with public Wifi and keep it secure? I’d like to add a wireless home security system to my small independent bookstore that offers a reading area and has free wifi available for customers. I’m just afraid that if I run the network video over the wireless network that some of the people who come in will be able to hack into it. Should I get a wired system and run the network DVR over that instead and keep it completely off the network or am I being paranoid?

My wireless home security system planning is almost done, but I haven’t decided on the cameras. I’m going to get a network DVR to record the video, but I’m not sure if it comes with network video or not. I'm now I’m just looking for some recommendations on anything, especially the network DVR. I have no clue about how I'm going to incorporate all of this but it is coming together.

I’ve been thinking of upgrading my security system to a network DVR. That would be really helpful because the recorded footage would be easily accessible and great quality. The wireless home security system that I have now has network video but I have no way of easily retrieving it – at least I don’t know how! There is a variety of equipment and I have never worked with a network DVR so if someone could lend some advice I would appreciate it.

My son is wanting network dvr. One massive can of red bull allowed me to stay up just long enough to locate a great site where I could find network video.
Also, several people suggested Supercircuits.com as THE place to go and search. I also saw an wireless home security system that was really cool. I
sure hope we find the network dvr we're looking for.
